What is FormMate 80?
FormMate 80 is a free, guided web application that helps individuals fill out Form 80 — Personal Character Assessment, a document required by the Australian Department of Home Affairs for many visa applications.
Form 80 spans 19 pages and over 50 questions covering your identity, travel history, employment, education, family, and character. It is one of the most detailed government forms in the Australian visa system — and one of the most frequently filled incorrectly.
FormMate 80 walks you through each question with plain-English explanations, remembers your progress, and generates a completed PDF that mirrors the official form exactly.

Why we built it
Completing Form 80 is a stressful experience for many visa applicants. The form uses bureaucratic language, requires details spanning decades of personal history, and provides little guidance on what each question actually means.
Mistakes on Form 80 — omissions, ambiguities, or incorrect field formats — can delay visa processing or trigger requests for further information. We built FormMate 80 to reduce that friction: a clear, step-by-step guide that saves progress and produces a properly formatted PDF.
How it works
- Create a free account — your answers are saved securely to your account.
- Answer each question at your own pace. The wizard explains what each field requires.
- Skip questions that don't apply to you (the app handles conditional logic automatically).
- When you're ready, download your completed Form 80 PDF — filled with your answers, ready to submit to the Department of Home Affairs.
The generated PDF uses the official DIBP Form 80 template (Design date 03/21) as its base. Your answers are written directly into the form's fields.
